Ask for a draft
Do this
Ask for options, not answers. Your brain edits faster than it creates.
The 10-options ask
Give me 10 [subject lines / hooks / post openers].
Range: 3 safe, 3 curious, 3 bold, 1 weird.
Keep each under 10 words.
The think-first ask
Before you write anything, tell me:
- What you think the real goal is
- Who this is really for
- 3 angles you could take
- Which you'd pick and why
Then draft the one you'd pick.
The 3-version ask
Give me 3 versions:
1. Safe and professional
2. Bold and opinionated
3. Weird — what nobody else would write
Make them actually different, not the same thing
with different adjectives.
The messy-first-draft ask
This is a first draft. Don't polish. I'd rather see
a rough version with the full idea than a pretty
version that's missing stuff.
Rule
Never one-shot "the best answer." Ask for 10 options. Pick 1. That's where taste lives.
