Claude Code

Set it up when

• You run 2+ brands and re-briefing is annoying.
• You already have a folder-per-client setup from Turn it into a system.
• You want Claude to edit your files, not just write in a chat window.

Skip it if

• One brand, and Projects in claude.ai works fine.
• You haven't used Claude for real work yet. Do the browser version first.

10-minute setup

1. Download Claude Code (Mac/Windows) from claude.com/claude-code.
2. Sign in with the same account as claude.ai.
3. Open your marketing workspace folder in it.
4. Ask: "What's in this folder?"

Command 1: /init

Inside a folder, run:

/init I'm the marketing manager for this brand

Claude reads the folder, writes a CLAUDE.md that ties it together. Run once per folder.

Command 2: just ask

After /init, no commands. Just natural language:

• "Write a LinkedIn post about [topic]."
• "Update brand.md — we just launched a coffee subscription."
• "Look at the last 5 posts in content/ and tell me if my voice is drifting."

Claude edits files with your permission. You approve each change.

Don't fall in the rabbit hole

Ignore MCP servers, custom hooks, agent setups, skills libraries until the basics save you 30 min/day. Then graduate.
